How does a hardware spy phone differ from Pegasus spyware?

Pegasus, by the NSO Group, is software-only spyware that exploits operating-system vulnerabilities that Apple and Google continuously patch. SpyPhone embeds a dedicated surveillance chipset beneath the OS, so there is no exploit to patch and no software signature to detect. The surveillance persists across factory resets and OS updates and is invisible to every software-level security scan.

Can SpyPhone surveillance be detected?
